Allison + Chad {plus Kobe & Peyton} | the new family

Two weeks ago Allison and Chad’s growing family became official!  It seriously was a beautiful day; not because of the weather (well, no rain helped I’m sure!) but because these two are in lurv.  That’s right, they are too ooey-gooey for each other to simply be ‘in love’…no, no, they are most definitely, certifiably ‘in lurv’.

Gerry + Allison…you’re the measure of my dreams

When I brought up the subject of their blog  (while we were clinging to the seats of their Escalade on the way back from Ferryland) I wasn’t totally shocked that Allison had a title ready to rock, and it was from the Pogues’ A Rainy Night in Soho. She admitted she’d been thinking of a title for a while, which was sort of funny since it had only just donned on me to even ask her about it at that moment.  Are we sharing a brain or what Ally???  That’s a terrifying thought lol.

You’re the measure of my dreams.  When you consider Ally was thinking of Gerry when she spoke those words, it’s beautiful and powerful. I don’t know what else to say except you guys have been awesome! We’ve seen each other a bunch over the past year and I’ll be bummed if we don’t at least run into each other soon….take care, all the best, and I know you will love each other ’till the end (a little more Pogues for you).

I heard more than a few gushes of how they couldn’t live without Jameson…gross! This was one shot I was NOT participating in…unless they wanted to see a photographer spew.

Ian + Allison…love you ’till the end

I just want to see you when you’re all alone

I just want to catch you if I can

I just want to be there when the morning light explodes, on your face it radiates, I can’t escape

I love you ’till the end

Ian and Allison had a fantastic day full of sunshine, laughter, hugs, kisses, and killer dance moves! Their ceremony was held outside the Fluvarium, near a little rock wall that was both beautiful and rugged; we all agreed it added a little Irish flare.  Very fitting considering they played The Pogues ‘Love you till the end’ during the signing of the register!  If I wasn’t working I probably would’ve balled like a baby; so sweet.

Joanne and I had a fantastic time hanging with Ian and Allison’s friends and family…it took about two seconds for us to feel at home at his parent’s house before the ceremony and then with the girls (both times! hahaha our secret right girls??).   Of course it helps when all the boys are in their underwear; you can’t help but get familiar real quick.  Yes, Blog, all part of the job.

Joanne helped me get a little abstract view of the dress…I love how it looks like a blooming flower…

To make sure the women had no excuse not to dance till the wee hours, Ian brought flip flops for everyone! Joanne and I even snagged a couple pairs…

The song was so good it hurt! Apparently….hahaha
