Haiti is in dire need of our prayers and international relief efforts. Their need is urgent so I will make this quick and let you know that for every comment left on this post in the next 24 hours (4pm NL time today until 4pm NL time tomorrow) I’ll be donating $1 to the Red Cross Haiti relief fund (up to $2000).  I think instead of one person commenting over and over it’s much more effective to spread the word about the situation facing aide workers and victims alike by forwarding this message.

P.S. I’m not in Haiti so obviously did not take this photo, but it’s so powerful.  No tears, no torn clothing, no one looking particularly distressed or disheveled.  This woman could be any woman walking down the street and taking care of business…it’s just so normal and human.
