I had the immense pleasure of spending this afternoon at my favorite, I mean FAVORITE, store! If you haven’t been to Newfoundland, then you haven’t been to St.John’s, which forces me to conclude your life just isn’t complete as you’ve obviously not visited Twisted Sisters! This store is not just a store…it’s a hub of style. It’s like wrapping a warm, handmade scarf of re-purposed fabric around your shivering neck that leaves you thinking; where have you been all my life??? I’ll tell you where; Water Street.
I met with Current editor, Ally, and Doctor-in-training Amelia (Ally’s little girl..I see greatness in her future) to setup a Christmas shoot for the super fabulous owners of before mentioned favorite store, Jaclyn and Tennille. I can’t show you the magazine shots, but I can let you in on a secret; wearing something, anything, from TS is a guaranteed ego boost. I have a killer plaid jacket I bought there last fall that continues to bring me joy in the form of unsequestered flattery from complete strangers. What’s a girl to do? But spend her life savings one jacket at a time.
Be sure to head down to congratulate the gals on being voted ‘best women’s clothing store’ in the Scope’s yearly Best Of edition. Just don’t make the mistake of saying something ridiculously obtuse like ‘oh…you’re sisters?’.
Additionally, I’d like to thank Krista from Sound Salon & Spa who graciously primped the ladies before the shoot and who, coincidentally (honestly, I’d made the appointment just this morning) cut my hair right after! I’d never been to Sound before, but I’d heard great things and Krista was awarded ’stylist of the year’ in the same ‘best of’ article. Congrats ladies!

Great pictures. Lori, that jacket, it’s the one, the one I’ve been talking about. I can’t believe you made me think of it again. I was going to get in black though since I already have a red jacket. It’s just so great.
Somehow I knew that was the one as soon as I saw it! I told her you were dying to buy it…although I think you should go for it in red. Black is too boring for you!
Lori, may we start by saying thank-you for all the kind words. We are so happy to hear that people love the store as much as you do. Thanks for taking our photos yesterday..we both really enjoyed ourselves. We can’t wait to see the pictures.
You’re very welcome ladies!
she’s so pretty!
