Home again!

Does anyone else feel like when they’re traveling the time goes by so slowly, but when they’re home again they feel like they never left? That’s what I’m dealing with right now….I’m back in St.John’s and missing Europe! I have some great images to come so please check back, and in the mean time enjoy this hmmm not-so-flattering shot of me in London last week!  Ok maybe it’s not that the photo isn’t flattering, maybe it’s just that in my head I think I’m better looking than I actually am in real life?? haha

OFF TO BE POSH!

GOODBYE ALL!  I will be away from Feb 9 to Feb 23 as I’m taking a little dream vacay over the pond to the UK…if you haven’t already figured that out from the obnoxiously large flag posted below.   I’ll be in England and Ireland so be sure to check back in a few weeks for photos! And of course you can add me on Facebook to keep up with the juicy details and to see snapshots before anyone else :)

Have a great couple of weeks and don’t hate me if I come back home sounding terribly refined and posh! Pfffbt more like I’ll have a mixed up Newfie/Irish brogue that will equally offend and appall the masses.

P.S. I will not be checking my email or phone messages very often, but please leave a message and I will get back to you as soon as possible.

NOW BOOKING for 2011!

HOORAY!  As promised I’ve finally sent out my new-and-improved booking kit for 2010 and yes, 2011!  If you weren’t on my contact list but would like to receive your own copy of my ESSENTIAL BOOKING KIT, please pop me an email to focus(at)lori-moss.com …

This kit includes all of your investment and a la carte options so it’s for everyone who must be ‘in the know’! I worked extra hard to form packages based on what clients have asked for in the past and still incorporating some new kick-butt products that will wow you!   That’s right, WOW YOU!  Every package now includes 10 hours of coverage, custom canvas, flushmount album AND digital negatives…pretty sweet.  Of course you still have the option to start from scratch with your own custom package too!

Wedding commissions begin at $4300 with complete packages as listed above starting at $5900. If you’d like to book an in-person consult for Feb 27-March 6 please get in touch; dates are limited (July and August are by far the most popular and will go fast!).

Here is a sample of a custom flushmount album (I have all new studio samples coming soon that will knock your socks off!)…

And since I just finished my last 2009 wedding, here are a few of my fave shots!

Booking update {+ bribing you with food}

I know so many of you are patiently checking my blog and your inbox everyday (religiously) for info on my updated 2010/2011 pricing.  Firstly, you rock! Secondly, I suck!  I’m on the war path trying to get everything straightened away with existing clients (also so patient…amazing), updating my website and packages, plus mentally prepping for my first UK trip (I leave on Tuesday; Gravol will be my best friend).  You’ll notice I wrote ‘mentally’ prepping for the trip since not only have I not packed anything (seriously, it’s a week away, check back with me on Monday) but I haven’t actually helped plan the trip or even started figuring out what I need to bring. And I missed my tennis lesson tonight. That’s right, I’m dedicated to the cause folks!

Fingers crossed I will have pricing information out to everyone by Friday and I will start booking consultations before I leave on Tuesday.  I can’t guarantee that I’ll be able to actually fit in any meetings before I leave, but certainly as soon as I’m back (Feb 21) we’ll get chatting.  It’s taking so long because this is what I do!  Weddings: 24/7.  I put a lot of thought and bawled up paper into creating packages and products that I think will make most of my brides and grooms weak in the knees with sheer delight! Ok perhaps that’s a stretch, but you get my point.  It’s a long process involving calculators, pens scribbling at lightning speed, and hours pouring over albums, printers, and countless emails to my poor friends and family who have to suffer through my indecision.  My dog is neglected, but other than that the Moss household is gettin’ ‘er done.

So all this is to say no, the updated information isn’t here yet, but it will be very soon!  And because you’re so awesome and still reading this, what do you think of my first ever carrot cake? I made this sucker from scratch thanks to Jamie Oliver…I over worked the dough a little, but slathered with that lime mascarpone icing, who cares!

These were all taken in terrible lighting with my Canon 5DMII and 70-200 F2.8 IS (just bought it) at between 4000-6400 ISO.  Not too bad right??
