Todd & Crystal…Hitched

I had such a fun time with Todd, Crystal, and their entire gang yesterday!  It’s so nice to have a couple who are not only in love, but willing to do whatever I ask of them…no matter how zany or potentially disasterous for the dress (shhhh don’t tell her mom I said that!).  Crystal’s sister, Nicole, is a photographer from central Newfoundland who braved the weather, in HEELS!, despite being 7 months pregnant (though I still say I have a bigger stomach after eating a big dinner lol).

Winter weddings are precarious at best, let alone winter NIGHT weddings!  That said, everything went smashingly and I was even able to bang out a few daytime shots of the girls before heading to the ceremony.  The festivities were held at Clovelly Golf Course and I gotta say, it was the best venue I’d shot in.  The service and food were great, yes, but also the grounds were well lit which makes for interesting night photography! Now, I don’t know if they had photographers in mind when they originally built it :-p but my hat goes off to them for a job well done.

Todd and Crystal, I had a tough time picking which shots would make the blog post: I have a lot of favorites!  I hope you love them as much as I do…and Todd, like I said, there’s always WAY more shots of the bride than of the groom so don’t take it personally ;-)

P.S. I have to add that Crystal has THE most perfect skin of anyone I’ve ever met! Just gorgeous.

Twisted Sisters follow-up

In case you missed it, before I left for Florida a few weeks ago I snuck in a quick shoot for Current that would be coming out over Christmas (while I was away)…and lucky me it was for my favorite clothing store in Newfoundland!  You can read the previous post here, and while I’m not usually this on the ball, here’s the finished product including the cover and inside story:

When you shoot for any publication there are always dozens of images that go unpublished and unseen! It can be tough for a wedding photographer who’s used to sharing ALL their images, but that’s why blogs are so freaking fantastic!  Here are a few outtakes…

Back! With a vengence…

I’m back on solid, albeit very cold, ground after an amazing two weeks in Florida over Christmas!  My parents and their Floridian friends were so great that I started looking at real estate…seriously.  But alas, I’m home again.  The home fires weren’t burning (that’s a good thing when there’s no one around to put them out) and the ceramic floors were blistering cold on my freshly tanned toes, but today I’ve got a great e•session with Adrienne and Sean to look forward to since it’s a sunny day and there’s very little snow…it’s a day to be thankful for and I am! I swear.  Ok.  I’m working on it anyway.

Blog Stalling

Unfortunately for this blog I’ll be away from my computer (oh how I love thee!) for a couple of weeks, but never fear! as soon as I’m back I’ll have some pretty cool posts to put up.  I’m sure you will all cope nicely…especially now that we’ve hit on the season where it’s socially acceptable to eat one’s weight in chocolate :-p

A warm, heartfelt Merry Christmas to you and your family.  Please remember on December 25th as the wrapping paper is shredded in mounds around you and only your bloodshot eyes are visible, that our Lord and Savior was born so we too could live.

God Bless.
