Ferryland

My friend Joanne and I booted ‘er out to Ferryland on Sunday and managed to catch a picnic on the last day it was open for the season! I’d never been out there before, however, Joanne got engaged there this summer *ahhhh*.  It’s about an hour outside of St.John’s and a 0.9 km walk to the lighthouse and picnic area…the food is stellar! The blue-tongue shot is us after fighting over the warm blueberry and blackberry dessert (soooo good people). Did I mention the goat cheese sandwich had the best cheese I’ve ever had?

There were people painting, couples cuddling, and in general just a lot of people trying to stay warm. Only in Newfoundland do you picnic on the side of a cliff in gail force winds in fog so thick you can’t see a thing.

Brent & Seanna (Take 2)

It was SUCH a beautiful day!  Brent and Seanna really lucked out with gorgeous weather that wasn’t too hot or too cold and, thankfully, not windy…that’s a big deal here in Newfoundland. Trust me.

We had an action packed day that included some skateboarding, golf-carting, a little dip in the fountain, and some things that are for their friends to know about and not for me to post.  I will only say this; my name is Earl!

Brent & Seanna (Take 1)

I don’t have much time to dedicate to this post so I’ll be doing a two parter!  Check back tomorrow for the second half. In the next post I swear you’ll actually SEE the couple’s faces :)

Is that sun?

This was one of the only Saturdays this whole summer where rain/drizzle/fog did not make an appearance!
