Might as well jump

Again: me, Charla, mild boredom, and our cameras. Last week we had an excursion around Eastport beach and though the light was mahvelous and the beach itself was littered with interesting relics just screaming to be photographed (i.e. the gulls), we took photos of each other. As a note, in the second shot Charla looks as though she’s levitating, but I assure you; no strings were used! Only Charla’s excellent impromptu jumping skills.

Rural

From my trip last week to Eastport.  These shots are actually from around Eastport and Glovertown; some of my favorite places for obvious and nostalgic reasons.  The little girl just grabbed my hand and showed me around her grandfather’s boats, he’s the one on the wharf with the blue long-liner in the background.

Yo mama

Yolanda loves to bake, so it’s no surprise she now has her own bun in the oven!  Yesterday we did some pregnancy shots at her house in Paradise (that’s seriously the town’s name), we started out traditional and then went for full on ‘bare foot and pregnant’.  I think she did an awesome job of modeling and now I’m extra excited for her and Jeff’s wedding on New Years!  There are more shots from yesterday but I’m a wee bit sick at the moment so these will have to suffice :-)

HASP

PLEASE NOTE: many posts from before 2008 will be missing photos since they did not import properly from my old blog! You can view the original posts and images here.

HASP, Happy Adventure Sea Products, is the fish plant near where I grew up.  I probably drove dad crazy all week asking “are the boats in yet?” since this is crab season and small boats, as well as long liners, stream in numerous times daily to unload their catch. I made a few trips, these photos are from the first. Fishing is hard work, harder than anything I’ve ever done. I have nothing but respect for the folk of the sea…
