Hello my lovely friends!

I have been back from vacation for 2 whole weeks now and where DOES the time go?? It’s hard to believe after all the planning, travel, and all the fun bits in between, it’s over and I am looking at the pictures. Surreal!  What a time, what a time.  I did not bring my big fancy camera with me; just a little sorta crappy point-n-shoot but I still cherish every single shot…oh the memories!  Gelato in Athens, gelato in Budapest, gelato in….wait…I’m sure I did other things on the trip than just eat ice cream?

BACK TO BUSINESS! I’m plugging away at all the weddings from this summer (there are a lot, and they’re all fantastic!) and I’m also working with Operation Christmas Child for the 2011 distribution and collection season.  Haven’t heard of OCC? Be sure to check out this entirely worthy cause that supplies presents to children around the world every year!  We collect filled shoeboxes in the fall/Christmas time and then distribute them in some of the worst/poorest areas of the world the following April….would you like to get involved?

I am the Community Relations Coordinator for OCC and I can tell you personally that we have an amazing team this year and we are gearing up to bring in more shoeboxes, for more children, than ever before! If it’s in your heart to help in some way, either by coordinating your office to fill boxes (we have a presentation DVD to make it easy for you!) or by filling a single box yourself - please don’t hesitate

WHY: Because not all children in this world are fortunate enough to know the excitement of receiving a present and knowing they are cared about!

WHEN TO PICK UP BOXES: Distribution Week >> Oct 3-8th at ELIM Tabernacle (next to VW dealership)

WHEN TO DROP OFF BOXES: Collection Week >> Nov 21-27th at ELIM Tabernacle

KICK-OFF EVENT: OCT 3rd at ELIM —-7pm. DON’T MISS IT!.…This event starts Distribution week - all empty shoeboxes can be picked up from Elim starting Oct 3 until Oct 8th.  Come to the kick off event for tons of information, to meet everyone, hear some great impact stories, see pictures, and also to pick-up your boxes and info packet!  WE HAVE PRESENTATION DVD’S THAT WILL BE GIVEN OUT WITH ALL BULK BOX PICK-UPS, this will help you in getting your office/organization on board and coordinated!

Operation Christmas Child will be exhibiting at YC 2011 at Mile One on Oct 7-9! If you are already planning to attend, please stop down to see us and get info + you can pick up shoe boxes!

OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD has a TON of different ways for people to get involved: displays, office participation, packing parties, exhibits, media stuff, etc etc etc etc etc!!!!!!  Let’s do it!

And because I know y’all wanna see what I was up to while I was away, this is me in Greece visiting Ancient Corinth:

I’m leaving soon for two whole weeks and I could swoon just thinking about it!  I won’t be doing a tap of business while I’m gone; no emails, no phone calls, no facebook, nada.  If you’re interested in booking for a wedding, again, you will have to wait until Sept 6 or 7th to hear back from me but I will definitely reply.
